SCHOOL WORKSHOPS
There is a lot of weight on the shoulders of modern day teachers. The expectation to nurture the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of the kids in your care is a lot. Empowered Coaching is a program to help alleviate some of that burden in a ‘hands on/hearts in’ kind of way. Through a fusion of martial arts and ancient traditions - these workshops are a way to tend to the hearts, minds and bodies of school aged kids, in an empowering group environment. In these workshops, we engage in various exercises with a focus on building confidence, resilience, trust and self awareness. Children will be working with a trained facilitator to help them develop the skills and understanding to move through some of the hardships they’re faced with.

KAEL COSTER | COACH
“It’s safe to say I had a rough time in school. My interests fell into the ‘nerdy’ category. Bullying from my peers took it’s toll on me, and insecurities began to form a large part of my inner world. I began to question my worth and change who I was to gain acceptance.
At 16 years old, after an incident at school, I threw myself into my martial arts, determined not to be a victim. I replaced my fantasy books with a collection of black belts from various disciplines. The training and fighting provided me with enough physical confidence to get through the next while. But underneath, I was still hurting and struggling with feelings of inadequacy.
Years later, I immersed myself in the worlds of yoga, meditation and breath work. It was the inner work I had been missing. It might seem strange, but it all seemed to go hand in hand - the fighting and the stillness - to bring about the holistic healing I needed. The outer work and the inner work. The intensity and the softness. The yin and the yang.
I carry this same holistic balance into my mentoring. I know that personal responsibility comes from the safety of belonging. That compassion and kindness come from a place of connection and attachment. I look forward to journeying with more young people and helping them grow into young adults of integrity.
I am always learning and developing myself to provide a better program and knowledge. Currently i am studying a diploma of clinical hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. Along with a 460 hour biodynamic breathwork for trauma release. To better help understand mental health and trauma for this type of work.

“Kael is now a regular scheduled activity within our school holiday program. Our program varies with children from 3-12 and Kael demonstrates patience and array of skills to accommodate all age groups. Kael not only shares his passion and skill for mixed martial arts but also how and why kael discovered MMA and the impact it has had on his journey. Not only is Kael passionate about MMA but also holds an appreciation for yoga which he introduced to the children. The children absolutely loved attempting new movement and winding down. Kael is very flexible and accommodating. Highly recommend including coster MMA in your next program to not only provide a excellent sporting program but an opportunity to create excellent conversations around how trying a new sport can positively influence your life and wellbeing”

“I brought my class into Kael's gym today for our first session. A lot of my students have disengaged from school and struggle to focus but Kael had their full attention from start to finish. He was not afraid to get in and grapple with the kids while maintaining a high level of professionalism, as well as share his. The kids and I are keen as for our next session!”

“Working with Kael was an empowering and enlightening experience. I have suffered from anxiety, hyper vigilance, and fear of unknown spaces for a long time due to a history of sexual abuse. Kael provided a safe space in which I was able to connect to my sense of personal power and gain I found strength I didn’t know I had (physical and psychological). Kael shows up with awareness, empathy , care and compassion and knows how to slowly build in intensity so you never feel overwhelmed or intimidated. I personally received a lot from my sessions with Kael”
“I had heard so much about how wonderful Kael is with kids & helping them gain physical strength, mental strength and their confidence back. My son was in a position at school that really shattered his mental health and confidence. We started seeing Kael. Within a few sessions we saw a change for the better. Not only did Kael teach him martial arts, he also mentored him through conversation helping my son gain trust and open up to confide in Kael. We always talk about our time with Kael with heartfelt gratitude for what he did for our family.”
